Deconstruct and RE-CREATE A Portrait Assignment part 1
Here is the
photo that I took to recreate the image taken by Michael Silver taking my own
creative spin on it. What I did differently than Michael Silver is that instead
of doing the black and white I chose the colour red. What I also did different
is include more detail of what the model is wearing and decided not to show the
models eyes which is to do with why I chose the colour red as the main colour.
The reason why is because red is a colour that can be seen either as representing
love or anger. In the original photo the eyes are what portrayed the anger and
because there is no way of seeing the eyes of the model so you can tell by
looking at the model without seeing his eyes what emotion he is currently
feeling. I did the red colour by attaching a red sheet to the light on the side
which allowed me to keep the Rembrandt effect that was in the original photo.
The jacket used is similar, black but to add more the jacket itself is covered
in patches to give more to look at.
