  Step 2 Manual WB For manual white balance I took a picture of a blank piece of paper in order to see how my white balance settings were affecting the colour. Step 3 colour cast My colour cast picture was when I was experimenting with my white balance settings to see what they would look like. Adjusted photo In this image I have adjusted the white balance in camera raw to try bring out all the whites without over saturating it. This is another image where the white balance was low and the image was dull so I brought up the white balance to bring out the colours in the image. Analogous colour In this image I took a picture of some leaves from the same colour spectrum in order to achieve the analogous colour scheme

  For my chosen image relating to the use of lighting or colour I chose an image by the photographer Ken Light. Ken Light is a photographer that has specialized in black and white photography that has taken many photos during the Vietnam war like the one in this blog taken in 1967. This photo is called 'Corpseman in Anguish'. In this  image we can see an American soldier morning the loss of one of his comrades. The black and white colouring of this photo really show the despair in war and the anguish he is experiencing. they burnt don forest that surrounds him also shows how bleak the world he is currently in is.

Leading lines For this image I took  a photo of leading lines of the railings curving off into the distance. I like this because you can see many leading lines in the picture as a whole, Vertical lines In this image I took a picture of the metal grated roof. I took this because of the vertical line pattern that goes up the side of the roof. Horizontal lines For my horizontal lines I found that on the platform there was horizontal metal plating that ran across the wooden floor boards. Balance For my image of balance I took a picture of stairs with railings, This image has balance in the railing that run parallels on each side of the stair and also there is balance with each of the steps.   Rule of thirds For rule of thirds I took a picture in a field. I took a picture of an autumn tree with a building in the back left. What I like about this photo is that there is a mix between rural and urban landscape.  Exposure control MidTerm assignment  Student No: B00144295  Student Name: Finn Lawler  Title: Lone Soldier (shallow DOF)  Description & Evaluation  For my shallow DOF photo I needed to have something as my main focus and create a blur effect in the background. I wanted a prop that was small so that I can show the blurred background clearly with my prop in the centre. My prop was my dad’s award from the army. What I think I did well was that the soldiers colour blended into the background. What I think that I should of done differently was stabilize my camera because at the low shutter speed it was difficult to get the shot without the main focus blurring.
